Random Fun Photos

Spring was so beautiful! These are some tulips we planted in front of our house in the fall as bulbs and they bloomed so beautifully. It was so nice to come home to such springy flowers. They are gone, but the spring time weather is still here. We are desperately waiting for the summer heat!

Look at my cutie eating oranges! Yup, more pictures of Malia with food! She loves her fruits!

This Malia and her papa. My dad visited in mid May! Malia loves her papa, but for some reason when you ask her where's papa, her responses is always, "sleeping." Go figure!

We are into the "I do", except is "you do", but she really means "I do." But she is pretty good about getting her clothes on, and on occasion she will get her shoes on by herself, and on the right foot.

Family Vacation to California!

We took a short trip down to Laguna Beach in southern California! For those of you who are fans, we did not see Kristin or LC, but we did see the basketball court featured in the beginning and we were on the look out for that Italian restaurant they always go to. Anyway we had a great time on the beach just hanging out!

Isn't it just beautiful! Surf....sand....sun, what more could you ask for. It was a little chilly there, but it was still nice. We took a cliff walk along the beach, such a nice day!

We went to San Diego to visit our friend Keira, Alyson, and Jason, (and Shamu!). Malia liked the dolphin show and seeing all the fish and penguins, but the walrus swimming up to the glass was a little much. Even if it was southern California, it was a little chilly and we couldn't believe people chose to be in the soak zone. Boy did they get soaked!

Here's Stephen in the freezing water! He is truly a fish I tell you. The outside temps were in the low 60's so you can only imagine what the water felt like. But he had a good time. Rented a skim board and dove right in. We were the only ones on the beach....go figure!

Here's my sweet girl making sand castles. We spent a lot of time on the beach just playing in the sand and watching the waves.

Toes in the sand!

More pictures on the beach, bucket and shovel in hand!

Easter's Here Already!

We had fun coloring Easter eggs. But I think next year we will only do a 1 or 2 colors. Malia had fun dunking them and checking on them and really wanted to crack them.

See....we made blue ones, yellow ones, pink ones, and orange ones. There was a lot of dipping and oh no's! Malia had nice blueish fingers for a few days!

We went to an Easter egg "hunt" at the zoo with Larson, Brett, and Susan. But it was not really a hunt, the eggs were just scattered everywhere out in plain sight. Where's the fun in that? Malia loved collecting the eggs, especially the purple and pink ones, but somehow they magically disappeared (back on the ground).
We did our own Easter egg hunt at home and this was a real hunt. Stephen hid the eggs around the yard. Yes we found them all! No surprise smells to be expected!

Spring is Here!

My new gardener! Spring is in the air! Malia helped her daddy plant some flowers to brighten up our day. She helped pick out the flowers and loves watering the flowers!

(Look at daddy's outfit. He's been painting this weekend. Putting those scrubs to good use!)

Just some fun photos!

Malia is just in love with kitties. She loves Baxter although she pulls his tail sometimes. This past Christmas she got a bunch of Hello Kitty things. She has stuffed animals, pins, shirts, figurines, etc. That did not help her small obsession, but she loves it all! So this is a picture of kitty helping Malia craaackk open an egg and whisk it up. (this is also her "cheese" smile).

Another picture revolving around food! I tell you this girl likes to eat! But this picture is trying to show off her pony tails! Malia has such long hair for her age and I haven't really "styled" it much just because I don't know what to do with it. She loves pony tails.....on other girls....but will occasionally leave them on in her hair. Such a cutie!

Whistler Snow Bunny!

We recently met Stephen's family in Whistler BC! Malia did not get her skis on but she will be a Whistler Kid soon! We all had a great time with really good snow, but burr....it was cold. We took Malia to an indoor pool, the library, and a great climbing area. She just loved climbing up and down the stairs at the place we were staying and hanging out with family!

This is Malia on her first sled ride with her Nana. She rode down for a bit, but didn't exactly enjoy herself!

This is Malia and Bink! They are reading Archie comics!

A shoe girl! Uncle Jimmy's shoes are a little big but I'll give it a try!

Christmas in Hawaii

Here are some pictures of the holidays. Malia and I made our way to Hawaii, staying in Maui and the Big Island. We visited family and enjoyed the sun (well at least in Maui). Unfortunately Stephen had to stay home and work, but I think he really enjoyed the house to himself while we were gone. He hung out with friends, went snowboarding, and other fun things while we were gone....so don't feel sorry for him! We did miss him though.

Thank you to all of you who were so generous and sent Malia a gift. She wasn't really into the whole Christmas thing yet but she did "pee-0" (peel) open some gifts. Sorry there aren't any pictures of Malia opening gifts, but all she wanted to do was see the camera (and not open her gifts) once she saw the camera. Maybe my mom has some photos. I'll work on that. Anyway...

This is Malia's papa. She usually says papa is nigh-nigh (sleeping) when asked where is papa, but she seems quite happy in his arms right now.

This is Malia's Nana. We are at a park in Kula next to the Kula Elementary School, where Stephen went to school. Kula is such a beautiful place. The temperatures are "ku-la" and the views are amazing. I think Nana had a good time just hanging out with Malia.
This is DD, Malia's grand dad. By the look on his face, I know he will make sure Malia will make it up these stairs safely. This was taken on Christmas Day. We were lucky enough to be invited to Aunt Harriet and Uncle Bob's home for dinner. Malia ran around the whole house and found every little thing that wasn't "baby proofed"!

This is Malia and her cousins at the beach. It was so nice to see all of them playing together. They are all great kids with different personalities. I think they are trying to dig a hole or build a sand castle or something....not getting very far!

This is Uncle Jimmy. We are at a park in Keokea, actually right across the street from the church where Stephen and I got married. There was lots of green grass to run wild! During our stay she was not able to say Uncle Jimmy, but just the other day we were talking about Uncle Jimmy and she said "Jimmy". It was just the cutest thing!

We are at a nice kid friendly beach in Kihei. She loved the beach! She loved running in the water, splashing, and digging in the sand. I had a great time watching her play on the beach and think that everyone on the beach that day was just adoring her! And who wouldn't! But that's just me.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!
