Christmas in Hawaii

Here are some pictures of the holidays. Malia and I made our way to Hawaii, staying in Maui and the Big Island. We visited family and enjoyed the sun (well at least in Maui). Unfortunately Stephen had to stay home and work, but I think he really enjoyed the house to himself while we were gone. He hung out with friends, went snowboarding, and other fun things while we were gone....so don't feel sorry for him! We did miss him though.

Thank you to all of you who were so generous and sent Malia a gift. She wasn't really into the whole Christmas thing yet but she did "pee-0" (peel) open some gifts. Sorry there aren't any pictures of Malia opening gifts, but all she wanted to do was see the camera (and not open her gifts) once she saw the camera. Maybe my mom has some photos. I'll work on that. Anyway...

This is Malia's papa. She usually says papa is nigh-nigh (sleeping) when asked where is papa, but she seems quite happy in his arms right now.

This is Malia's Nana. We are at a park in Kula next to the Kula Elementary School, where Stephen went to school. Kula is such a beautiful place. The temperatures are "ku-la" and the views are amazing. I think Nana had a good time just hanging out with Malia.
This is DD, Malia's grand dad. By the look on his face, I know he will make sure Malia will make it up these stairs safely. This was taken on Christmas Day. We were lucky enough to be invited to Aunt Harriet and Uncle Bob's home for dinner. Malia ran around the whole house and found every little thing that wasn't "baby proofed"!

This is Malia and her cousins at the beach. It was so nice to see all of them playing together. They are all great kids with different personalities. I think they are trying to dig a hole or build a sand castle or something....not getting very far!

This is Uncle Jimmy. We are at a park in Keokea, actually right across the street from the church where Stephen and I got married. There was lots of green grass to run wild! During our stay she was not able to say Uncle Jimmy, but just the other day we were talking about Uncle Jimmy and she said "Jimmy". It was just the cutest thing!

We are at a nice kid friendly beach in Kihei. She loved the beach! She loved running in the water, splashing, and digging in the sand. I had a great time watching her play on the beach and think that everyone on the beach that day was just adoring her! And who wouldn't! But that's just me.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!
